Reports showed that Microsoft would be rolling out information notification to all existing users of Windows 7 telling them that they will no longer send security update to the operating system and will not be securing the operating system anymore.


According to reports 14 January, 2020 will be the last day for Microsoft to support the most popularly used Microsoft Operating System Windows 7. Windows 7 has been the most popular operating system from 10 years coming, may people prefer using Windows 7 to Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and the most promising operating system of Microsoft right now windows 10.

Microsoft revealed its plan of notifying users of the end of windows 7 early this month so they will be informed on time and move to either windows 8.1 or windows 10.

The Tech giant Microsoft said: “This update is available through Windows Update. If automatic updates are enabled, this update will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Users would be given an option to select the "do not remind again" option if they wish to get rid of the notification.”


It has been also reported that Windows 10 is now running on 800 million devices and Microsoft is planning to make it run on over 1 billion devices. The ending of windows 7 may promote windows 10 to reach that goal.
